Need a unique education gift idea?—give a sports program.
Besides inherent health benefits team sports like soccer, swimming, football, basketball, and lacrosse teach cooperation, math, problem solving, and team spirit.
And kids love sports!
Find out what type of athletics the youngster on your list is interested in and find a nearby program that offers it. If they are already involved, buy some cool gear, a jersey of a favorite sports team, or tickets to a game.
This holiday season, be the cool grown-up who got a kid outside to play over promoting more time in front of the TV or game system.
And no, buying a spot on the highly coveted youth football team is not the same as buying your wife a gym-membership. Just make sure it's football, and not ballet, that your kid wants to join.
