You don't actually play this guy, you beat him up. Fun.

The highly anticipated game

Zeno Clash

hits the Steam store today for $20.00 on pre-order.

Billed as a first-person adventure combat game, Zeno Clash puts you in the shoes of an abandoned human orphan, Ghat, raised by the hermaphroditic "Father-Mother".

Excitement is running high for this game. The developer's website claims that it blends the first-person shooter genre with fighting games, as combat is up-close and brutal. Half of the released weapon details are melee weapons like bone clubs, big metal hammers, and fist details. Players will be able to use special attacks, complicated grapple moves, and shove opponents into terrain.

It looks similar to the buggy but successful Dark Messiah of Might and Magic in the combat sense, but the visuals are a stark departure from traditional fantasy games. There's a surreal, punk feel to everything in the game; from strange foes, to wild-haired heroes, and whatever the hell that thing in the picture is, the whole visual experience seems a bit out there. Fans of punk-themed and fighting games are in for a treat with Zeno Clash. At least, it looks that way.

I've pre-ordered it for myself. Hell, until the end of today it's as cheap as a movie ticket anyway.
