From Jody Parmann's History's Naughty Misses exhibit: A Beautiful Crime —
Sensuality Personified. The show opens at 6 p.m. tonight at Studio 1219.

Port Huron artist Jody Parmann will open her latest gallery show, History’s Naughty Misses, at 6 p.m. tonight at Studio 1219, 1219 Military St., Port Huron.

The show will feature colorful tales of women throughout history who have taken a more questionable moral path: courtesans, gypsies, concubines, geisha, doxies, streetwalkers and performers of the Moulin Rouge. Highlighting the shadier side of women’s history, this is a show you won't want to miss.

The show runs through Nov. 29 at Studio 1219, then heads out on tour. History’s Naughty Misses will run Dec. 1 through Jan. 30 at Salon Pizazz, 104 Huron Ave., Port Huron, and Jan. 31 through Mar. 31 at Woodward Avenue Brewers (WAB), 22646 Woodward Ave., Ferndale. More venues will be announced when schedules are set.

The show's opening night coincides with Studio 1219's Bra Event Finale. Rumor has it you'll also see firemen sporting bras for auction to raise money for the Studio and the Studio’s breast cancer fund—not something you want to miss. There also will be refreshments and music, so check it out!
