The Literary Arts Connection of Texas (L.A.C.), a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization in collaboration with The Dock Bookshop is sponsoring theAllstar Author Showcaseto promote literacy and the literary arts through the motivational power of sports to inspire, entertain, inform, and empower individuals, families, and communities.

When: Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010
Where: Westin Hotel, Dallas, Texas

The 2010 NBA All-Star Game will be played at the Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington, Texas, that weekend, providing an excellent opportunity to reach a wider audience and better promote literacy in Texas. Proceeds from the AllStar Author Showcase will benefit an international book project in Cameroon and Ghana as well as community-based literary projects.
