Christos Trunk Show at bliss bride: Oct 30-31

The two things that a bride never has enough of during her wedding planning process are time and money. Brides that are pressed for time and looking for special promotions can maximize their bridal gown shopping experience by looking for designer trunk shows at their local boutiques. 

Trunks shows are special events put on by salons where stores will bring in the entire collection of a particular designer for a short period of time, usually one weekend.  Normally boutiques will only have a sampling of dresses from each designer so trunks shows are the best way to see the entire collection in one place.

In addition being able to see a designer's latest collection, boutiques will often extend a trunk show promotion.  It is normal for brides to be able to take advantage of gown discounts, complimentary veils, waived rush fees or special customization offers. 

A few things to know:

1. These trunk shows only last a few days so come ready to purchase if you decide to try on dresses during a trunk show.  Make every effort to bring the people who will help you make a decision because once you see these gowns, they are usually shipped off to the next trunk show. You will not get a chance to see the gown again anytime soon.
2. A trunk show does not mean that you can buy the dresses right off the rack.  You will still need to get measured and have your gown ordered in the size closest to those measurements.
3. If you have a particular designer that you like, research the styles you want to really see and let the boutique know that you are interested in specific styles.  They should make sure that they can get those particular gowns in before the show so that your time is maximized.
