In an excerpt from the book, The Devil Is A Liar and I Can Prove It, Dr. Janise Carter Brown writes "It makes you think about all the hurdles you've had to jump over...And about those things you thought were coincidences....could have possibly been assignments arranged to destroy your destiny ..."
With that in mind think forward to the ills of oil. Like money, surely oil is not a bad thing. Instead it's the love oil that leads us down the path of destruction again and again and again. After all, isn't that why we're in the middle east?
And as if that wasn't enough, all of a sudden there are a handful of reports alleging issues of negligence concerning Toyota products that have taken center stage shortly after the brand's stated performance in what has been quite a tough season for other manufacturers. Coincidence, or convenience?
Fortunately for me, someone who routinely tests Toyota products such as the new Lexus H250h parked in my driveway as we speak, I can say according to Proverbs 10:22 that "The blessing of the Lord maketh me rich and adds no sorrow." My wish is that in your heart you will believe the same in an effort to discover all the good that awaits us, that we allow to escape us by choice.
Take for example the Toyota Prius IV for 2010. In my opinion this once ugly little, fuel efficient, revolutionary car has never looked so good! And with an MSRP of $25,800 it comes with many of the features we've come to expect from cars twice that amount... Features such as keyless lock/unlock and start; automatic windows (up and down) on all four, versus typically the driver's side only on most cars in this price range; a decent stereo by JBL that offers clear (not just heavy bass) sound for the satellite radio that comes with compliments for the first 90-days; a moonroof with solar powered ventilation; voice activated touch screen so that when you're driving you can simply call out a command rather than fumble with the control pad; it has a navigation system with an integrated back-up camera and bluetooth wireless technology that with the ability to stream music. And again, all of this at an MSRP of $25,800. Oh yeah, did I mention 51 mpg in the city and 48 mpg on the highway?
In addition, last week marked the introduction of the Prius Experience App.
"The Prius Experience App gives iPhone users a dynamic, in-depth experience of the third-generation Prius in the palm of their hands,” said Tim Morrison, corporate manager of marketing communications for TMS.
Notably, The Prius Experience App takes advantage of the iPhone’s built-in accelerometer to give users a 360-degree interior tour of the Prius. The app has four modes:
• Tour - Rotate your iPhone for a 360-degree interior view of the Prius, then explore the features that make the car so unique.
• Interact - Use your iPhone camera to interact with the Prius ads you see in your favorite magazines.
• Draw - Touch the innovative Multi-Touch user interface to draw directly into the environment of the Prius, then watch it react to your shapes and objects.
• Play - Think your way through 10 levels of a force-based game that utilizes the accelerometer.
The Prius Experience App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone here. The app is part of the third-generation Prius “Harmony Between Man, Nature and Machine” marketing campaign. In addition to print ads, The Prius Experience App is being promoted on the Prius mobile site at m.toyota.com/prius, the Prius Facebook fan site at www.facebook.com/prius and mobile banners.
So, back to The Devil Is A Liar And I Can Prove It---a title that I just love, Dr. Brown wrote the book "...for a sense of relief for me as well as to inform the world that the Lord always gives us a “Means of Escape” (exit strategy) for what ever situation you may find yourself in, there are no coincidences, all things are working together to lead you to your destiny thru his word.
Currently driving a Jaguar X Type, Dr. Brown, founder and senior pastor of Atlanta's Helping Hands Ministry Outreach, Inc., attended Knoxville College in Knoxville Tennessee as well as Christian Life School of Theology/Beacon University and earned her Doctor of Divinity from IGF Bible College and Theological Seminary. Like other progressive Americans she has a thirst for green knowledge. So, when I arrived at her recent book signing in a 2010 Toyota Prius IV, she was all over it, as you can see from the pictures.

Look for her book - The Devil Is A Liar And I can Prove It - at a Christian bookstore near you. If you don't see it, ask for it, or contact her directly at Helping Hands Ministry Outreach, Inc.
