July Fourth is a festival of bold colors which brings out the red, white, and blue in our hearts.  At night awesome colors sparkle across the sky in the form of fireworks.  What a great holiday for patriotic coloring activities.

This event occurred in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776 where George Washington presided over the signing of a great document.  This parchment was written by the hand of Thomas Jefferson, an independent thinker with the superb mind to go with it.  Of course, this was signed by men with a  similar independence of reasoning.  With this Declaration of Independence from Britain these men became traitors to the crown.  Had the war been lost they would have forfeited their lives.

Thankfully brave men and women fought that Revolutionary War, and won it.  Today we have the right to choose our own path to happiness.  Help your kids celebrate our freedoms with these spectacular coloring page sites.
