Fans, players and experts alike are recognizing Albert Pujols for what was arguably his best season yet.
Pujols was announced as the National League winner of the Hank Aaron award Sunday.
The honor, voted on by fans, is given to the best overall offensive player in each league. Pujols won the award for the first time in 2003.
The award was presented before the World Series game in Philidelphia on Sunday, but Pujols was unable to attend because he is still recovering from elbow surgery.
Last week, Pujols also received the Players Choice awards for Outstanding Player in the National League and Player of the Year overall. The awards are voted on by his peers in the MLB Players Association.
