Culver City’s Boneyard dog park is a great meetup place and a centrally located off-leash dog park for many Angelenos. The big attraction to the Boneyard for several dutiful small dog owners is its spacious small dog park section.
The whole park rest on an acre of land, and it seems equally cut straight down the middle for both big and small dogs which can be a rare find in Los Angeles. When considering a meetup location for you, your dogs, and dog friends I believe it’s important that the meetup spot is completely fenced with a double gated entrance, provide a water source, seating and shade. The Boneyard provides all of the ideal amenities and is big enough to accommodate many dog owners and their friends.
This past Sunday, about 30 LA Doxies members gathered for our monthly meetup and as we dominated part of the park there was still plenty of room and then some for other regular park goers and their dogs. It is very refreshing to be at a dog park and not feel crowded or crammed in a tight space.
Finding a favorite dog park can be chore, and finding a dog park that can accommodate you and your dog friends can be even tougher, but the Boneyard never fails to provide ample space.
As you plan your next meetup, dog birthday celebration or play date, consider the Boneyard.
Caution: The Boneyard does have some man-made shade, but the park can get hot when the temperatures starts to get in high 90s so go plan early morning and late afternoon visits as the mercury on your thermometers start to climb.
