Two men armed with guns entered the lobby of the Comfort Inn at 7990 Georgia Avenue in downtown Silver Spring around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

The men knocked the phones off the hook, tied up the clerk with a phone cord and robbed the hotel before fleeing on foot.

Both men were reportedly armed.  Officers used a police dog in hopes of trying to locate the suspects.  Montgomery County, Takoma Park and D.C. police participated in the search.
