Water-loving, body-wiggling Canela needs a new home
Welcome to the Scottsdale Dog House... we've got the scoop on K9s
Canela is a radiant doggie who is just glowing with Labrador personality and charm. This one-year-old girl hopes to find a human companion with a sense of humor to adore her for the rest of her life. Are you the one for her?
Canela is a perpetually happy dog whose body wiggles from ears to tail as she cheerfully greets everyone with whom she crosses “paws.” She also lavishes those she loves most with juicy kisses. Canela’s previous family was moving and couldn’t take her along so now she is looking for a new and forever best friend.
Canela is exploding with relentless energy. She lives life with great enthusiasm and zest, and she never seems to slow down. Being the “go-getter” type of dog, she appreciates a good adventure, and she will need a family who enjoys an occasional escapade now and then.
You can bet she will be ecstatic about camping trips, hiking the trails, going for fast paced walks around the neighborhood and like most Labs… anything involving water. Pool parties, trips to the lake, and adventures by the creek will make her big brown eyes light up with excitement.
Frequent playtime is a must for this lively dog, and she is passionate about swinging ropes, bouncing balls, and like all Labradors, chewing anything that has a squeaker in it. Challenging toys will keep her out of trouble, and she is a great problem solver - especially when it comes to getting scrumptious treats out of a Kong type toy. She will need a human buddy with enough energy to keep up with her active and adventurous personality.
She needs to be the only dog in her new home because she extremely nervous around other dogs. Canela is a rambunctious doggie who loves to play with older children, but she may be too rowdy for tumbling toddlers. She must find a home with children who are at least 13-years old.
You can adopt Canela NOW at the Arizona Humane Society’s Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion, 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is just $100.
