The latest coming out of Hollywood today from Eonline.com is about Nic Cage. This very successful actor, who has done a plethora of movies over the years, is now selling off his properties one-by-one in order to accumulate some much needed cash.
After defaulting on a $2 million dollar loan, Uncle Sam is now one of the many collectors knocking at his door. Over the summer, the IRS put a lien on him for $6.26 million because he didn't pay taxes in 2007 on his New Orleans properties (the same year, as it would happen that he raked in some serious profits from Ghost Rider and National Treasure: Book of Secrets).
According to IMDB, Cage's next movie, Bad Lieutenant: Port Of Call New Orleans, is the story of Terence McDonagh a drug- and gambling-addled detective in post-Katrina New Orleans investigating the killing of five Senegalese immigrants. The movie is schedulded to release later this month.
With Cage's latest release he should be back in the black in no time!
