Today, I'm taking advantage of my "writer status" to ask for some assistance with two very special dogs.Since I don't do this too often, I hope you'll bear with me.
Here are their stories:
Daytona is a very special puppy in need of surgery.
As a very sociable, intelligent and playful Rottie mix between the age of 7-12 months, Daytona was turned into the Arizona Humane Society with a fractured pelvis. She needs surgery to correct this painful condition and she needs to find a loving home.
Daytona is housebroken, very playful even while in pain, and loves people and other animals. (Just ask the Arizona Humane Society, who worked endlessly to find care and support for her!).
Daytona is currently being fostered by our good friends at Second Home Pet Resort, but the emergency care she needs is expensive. She's a peaceful, playful pup who deserves to live a pain-free existence.
Please consider making an emergency donation and help us provide the surgery that this beautiful animal requires. The total cost of the surgery (at a discounted rate) is $1,900. Any amount will help. While we know that the economy is challenging, we also know that even a small (tax-deductible!) donation of $1 - $5 will assist in providing a lifetime of happiness for this pup. Visit: http://www.firstgiving.com/daytonahipsurgery to donate.

Daisy
Daisy is a beautiful white pit bull mix (no fearful screeches, please - pit bulls are LOVING DOGS with owners who care!). She has adorable brown ears and loves both people and other dogs.
There is nothing Daisy would rather do than snuggle up and give love. She will roll right over and let you rub her tummy. She loves being outside and romping in the sun and is happiest when she’s with others.
She needs a family who can make her a part of their daily lives. This is no 'yard dog'. She's very sad to be in the shelter and we are desperate to find her a perfect home!
Daisy is a year old and has already been spayed, which means she's available right now for adoption. According to MCACC, "This gorgeous girl has been at the shelter since February 20th and we’re not sure why. She is one of the sweetest dogs here!"
Daisy’s adoption fee is $50. This fee includes her dog license and rabies vaccination. Her Animal ID number is: 2517320. Visit Daisy at 2500 S. 27th Avenue and see if you can make her a part of your life!
