
Christmas at Rockefeller Center 2009 Updated Tree information
The origin of the 2009 Rockefeller Center tree has been announced. This year's tree is a 76 foot Norway spruce from the home of school teacher Maria Corti of Easton, Conn.
The 10 ton tree was cut on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, and will make the 50 mile journey from Easton, CT to Rockefeller Center in New York City. The tree will be put up on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009. During the time between Nov. 12, 2009, and the tree lighting ceremony on Dec. 2, 2009, the tree will be surrounded by scaffolding which will allow workers to adorn the tree with miles of lights.
