With Christmas right around the corner there are additional hazards around the house for you dog and cat. One potential problem seen is chocolate toxicity in dogs. Keeping all the delicious (especially chocolate) treats away from your dog is a must during the holiday season.

There are other problems your animals can encounter while the gift giving season is upon us. Cats love to play with string and ribbon. Some cats also like to chew on and eat the ribbons and bows that make gift wrapping complete.

Ribbon can cause for a very unhappy holiday for both you and your cat. The ribbon can potentially become stuck in their intestines resulting in major damage. When this happens surgery becomes necessary and it is not cheap. You do not want to add a veterinary bill to your collection.

Keeping your goodies where your dog cannot get to them and your gift wrapping supplies put away will make for an enjoyable holiday season for both you and your furry friends.
