Tim Kane is a 47-year-old freelance writer and former amateur boxer. In his teens and early 20s, he competed in the Chicago Golden Gloves, The Chicago Park District and CYO boxing tournaments. A former U.S. Army Master Fitness Trainer, Kane said he uses the boxer’s regimen he learned as a youth to stay in shape.
