One of the most often identified stressors in marriage is infidelity with money running a close second. Now   money is running neck and neck with cheating as the number one reason for divorce.  When money is tight couples cut back on fun and entertainment.

Now with the news that Unemployment Rate Jumps Past 10 Percent many couples are finding themselves in the doldrums.

But  here is what you can do to keep stress low and loving high -- give yourselves at least one date a month and call it Succulent Saturdays.  Plan ahead to make the evening special.  You will need to prepare a bit in advance before inviting your husband or special someone.  Start by sending an actual invitation by real mail and perhaps tuck an RSVP card inside.

Dear Sweet Love -- you are cordially invited to a night of treats

  • Candles and music
  • Champagne or red wine
  • Tempting tasties
  • My shag bag of erotic pleasure

Attire: as little as possible.  RSVP: directly to me!

The Recipe for Success

  • The setting: Instead of scented candles, choose just regular votives that are set everywhere.  You do  not want the scent of candles to fight with the food.
  • The music: Select music that is soft and romantic.
  • The menu: Forgo the dining room table, plan to snuggle on the sofa in front of a coffee table that is set with items from a menu prepared by Wendy Monro, our Eden Prairie Food Examiner
  • The passion: Make up a shag bag of erotic pleasures and have it sitting in plain sight,  You might also want to find a  few Cosmo articles to help you laugh your way into position for trying out some new moves. Sudden Passion: shag bag of pleasure

Wendy suggests you start with Champagne and then recommends a few perfect little dishes.  But wait until you read her Tapenade recipe!  Although she suggests this for cold evenings,  I think it is a perfect way to turn any Saturday into Succulent Passion.
