Eminemand Lady GaGa will perform at the American Music Awards ceremony on November 22, in Los Angeles, joining Adam Lambert, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys and many more artists that will be announced in the future.

Eminem who's real name is Marshall Mathers, made an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards, accepting best hip hop video. It had been a few years since the artist has been attended the "Moon Men" award show. The controversial rapper gave a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the audience, that genuinely seemed to be happy for the artist and were glad to see him back in the spotlight.

Lady Gaga won best new artist video at the VMA's but her performance of "Poker Face" and segue into her most recent hit, 'Paparazzi", was a provocatively disturbing tour de force into the dark side of fame. The number was wonderfully performed and made for great live and televised theater. Lady Gaga, who's birth name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is known for wearing outlandish costumes and pushing artistic boundaries. She is also a serious artist with some formal music training. Germanotta learned piano at the tender age of four. At the age of seventeen, she was an early admission student at the prestigious New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

As "Lady Gaga", Germanotta showed during her MTV VMA performance, that along with her larger than life and eccentric image, she has some strong vocal chops and song writing skills as well, to go along with her performance art. (see video below)

Jay-Z and Keys are scheduled to make a duet, delivering so-called New York anthem "Empire State of Mind". Which the duo also performed earlier this year at the MTV Video Music Awards. Together, their irreverent and sophisticated tribute to New York with the number, was a real show stopper. As they performed the closing number, iconic images of the Brooklyn Bridge and Yankee Stadium among others, were shown on a large screen above. The performance was a nice way to cap off an evening of surprising highs and perplexing lows.
