Lucille Ball's ghost is rumored to haunt her old home.

With Halloween right around the corner everyone is up for a little scare. Below is a list of celebrities who's ghosts are rumored to still roam the earth. From Lucille Ball to Clark Gable. The myths of ghosts have always been a controversial subject but when you are adding the element that these ghosts were once Hollywood royalty it becomes a little more interesting. Enjoy the first part of this three part article.

 Lucille Ball, who died on April 26, 1989 during surgery at the age of 77 is rumored to still walk the her home at 100 North Roxbury Drive. Since her death it is said that she remains in the home which experiences a number of strange occurrences. The new owners speak of unexplained broken windows, loud voices coming from their empty attic, and furniture and other objects moving inside the house.

Bonnie and Clyde who are a pair of history's most famous outlaws. They were finally captured and killed on May 23, 1934 right outside Arcadia, Louisiana. Their bullet filled car was towed into town with their bodies still inside. Today, a special marker stands at the sight where they were killed. Photographs taken at the marker are known to come out containing ghostly figures.

Aaron Burr who was our nations third vice president under Thomas Jefferson, but is better known for his infamous duel with Alexander Hamilton. After killing Hamilton in the duel Burr was placed on trial for treason but acquitted. Today Aaron Burr is rumored to haunt the One If By Land, Two If By Sea Restaurant in New York City. The establishment is located on what was once Burr's carriage house. Both visitors and staff have witnessed dishes that fly across the room by themselves and have had chairs pulled out from under them by an unseen entity. Also rumored to haunt the restaurant is Burr's daughter, Theodosia Burr Alston. Alson vanished off the coast of North Carolina on her way to visit her father in New York.

Al Capone, the infamous Chicago gangster who led the city's illegal activities during the prohibition era. Capone is said to haunt more than one location. Allegedly when visitors are at his family plot in Hillside, Illinois the gangster is said to appear. Also at Alcatraz where Capone was one of the very first inmates banjo music is heard coming from inside his old cell.

Montgomery Clift, a popular actor in the 1950's and 60's, best known for his roles in A Place in the Sun, From Here to Eternity and Judgment at Nuremberg. Cliff was nominated for four academy awards. His spirit is said to haunt the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, where Cliff once spent months in room 928 pacing the floor back and forth trying to remember his lines. Guests in the room report hearing unexplained loud noises, the phone often found off the hook, unexplained cold spots, and even the feeling of hands upon their backs.

Joan Crawford an academy award winning actress who's career spanned over 45 years is said to haunt her old home, The Crawford House. This house is said to be haunted by Crawford's spirit as well as many others. The house has been exorcised many times, with no result. Crawford was also well known to the public after a tell all book by her adopted daughter, Christina, which reveled years of mental instability, anger issues, and the abuse of her children.

Clark Gable and Carole Lombard were one of Hollywood's first power couples. Gable was one of the biggest box office stars of the 1930's and 40's. Himself along with his wife, Lombard are rumored to haunt the Oatman Hotel in Oatman, Arizona. Where they spent their Honeymoon. But after only 3 years of marriage Lombard was tragically killed in a plane crash. Gable died on November 16, 1960. The two have a tragic yet very romantic story, even in death. below is a video tribute to the couple.
