Why? There are a few reasons. First of all, if you have been saving for a new RV, trailer, camper – whatever – 2009 is your year. Let’s face it, this is not going to be an easy year for ANY retailers and anything recreational will have to cut prices to stay aloft. This is where you can take advantage – big time.
I go with my family as a day event to stretch the legs, gain some ideas and daydream about that massive toy carrier filled with fun ATVs (wife prohibitive in my case). There are lots of fun displays, great freebees and entertaining demonstrations.
Even those who are simply curious about the RV’s lifestyle would enjoy this event. I recommend going online (the link is provided below) and picking up the discounted tickets.
Keep in mind that a majority of the presenters are sales people, though much less pushy than they are on their lots. For the most part, they tell you about the vehicles, components, prices, discounts and usually are friendly. If you’re open and inquisitive, they can be very helpful – just remember that they usually are selling something.
Parking is plentiful at the convention center for 10 bucks. You can save a bit if you’re willing to walk a bit from any number of parking lots surrounding the show. If you have an E85, electric or hybrid vehicle, you get 3 hours of free parking. That should be enough time for the fast walker. The 16th Street Mall is just a 5 -10 minute walk from the convention center and has a multitude of eateries.
Have a good time!
