  1. Cook a few great meals.  Even better, have a dinner party to welcome your guest and invite your circle of friends.
  2. Do all that you can her feel welcome in your home.  Find out favorite foods, flowers, music, etc. and fill your home with those favorites.
  3. Take your guest on a tour of the local sights and hotspots.  If you are simply providing a place for your guest to stay and don’t have any time to hang out, create a local travel guide that is specific to your guest’s likes and dislikes.
  4. Be a gracious host and pay for lunch or dinner.  It would be a great gesture to show your guest that you are grateful for the visit.
  5. The ultimate way to be a great host: make sure that you spend most of your time with your guest sharing old and new memories.
