So now everyone is putting to rest the Kanye fiasco at the VMAs. IT's embarrassing enough to have the whole world think that you were acting like a fool, but when the leader of the free world agrees with them. it's time to take a step back and re-evaluate....

Just follow these simple steps and you will never fail:

  1. If you are not the guest of honor, do not take it upon yourself to give unsolicited speeches.  If the host or guest of honor desires to hear your diatribe...or accolades, they will let you know.
  2. Always defer to the host if you are unsure of what type of topics will be discussed.  Also, take note of the type of event that you are attending to control what might flow out of your lips.  If its Democratic fundraiser, it is not the time to extol the merits of being a Republican.  If a fashion function, discussing the geo-political atmosphere of South America may not fly too well.
  3. Be respectful to other guests.  Common courtesy is key to being invited back to the next fab event.
