The Women of Baltimore Traffic - Candace Dold - FOX45's Best Kept Morning Secret

July 1, 5:45 AM

Candace Dold - FOX45 Traffic Reporter

I have to be honest. FOX45 was never my first choice for morning traffic reports. That changed in September 2006 when Candace started providing the edge on the morning commute. Besides reminding me of Mrs. Copanis, the teacher I had a crush on in the third grade, she has a smile that lights up her face, even when delivering the bad news of beltway traffic jams.

Candace came to FOX45 in 2004, gaining experience as an intern with the morning and nightly newscasts, and quickly moved to Associate Producer of the morning news in June of 2005. Before settling in at FOX45, she competed in beauty pageants and developed an interest in broadcasting. She pursued her career interning with NFL Films in New Jersey, and became an avid football fan. Candace was a Terps cheerleader while attending the University of Maryland in College Park for the football and basketball teams, and she continues to root for her alma mater.

When Candace isn't updating you on traffic, and making your travel day a little bit better with her smile, she doubles as the entertainment reporter for the station, reporting on weekly DVD and movie releases in her “Lowdown” segments of the show. She enjoys staying physically fit and walking her dogs, Bart and Simba, and for you guys out there who are dying to know ... sorry, she’s engaged. You can read more about Candace HERE.
