Memorial Day in Baltimore Means A Long Weekend in O.C.

May 22, 7:14 PM

The first holiday of the summer is here, just in time for the daily gas price hike. Of late, it’s not so much where you buy gas, but when. So for those foresighted souls who are lucky enough, and smart enough, to leave early Friday, or even late Thursday, I suggest you gas up NOW, and then again when you get to The Ocean. Then, park the car and leave it. Using OC’s bus system and all-day tickets for a couple of bucks will save you money, and you might even enjoy the mass transit system. It’s highly unlikely you’ll get the crap beaten out of you down there.

I’ve included WBAL’s John Sanders' Web Trends report, which mentions a couple of web sites you may find useful. I’ve pulled them out and put them here for your convenience. Just click the links.

www.roadtripamerica.com

roadfood.com

There’s also one of our beloved Bay Bridge,

www.baybridge.com

where you can get traffic conditions up to the minute. It’d be a handy thing to check before you head out.

I would have had more to say today, but youse guys kicked my butt in the Hypermiling posting. Now, I need a vacation, Hon.

Everyone have a happy and safe holiday, and I'll see you next week. Please don't forget to take a moment, to remember those who protect us.

My best,

Bernie
