STATE HIGHWAY ADMINSTRATION to host pre-construction open house April 22.

April 17, 6:23 PM

Okay, this is a verbatim reprint of a press release from SHA. I didn’t see any reason to paraphrase something this exciting. Maybe they'll let us play with the road equipment. Or not. If you live or work in the area of MD-4 and the Suitland Parkway, or if you have trouble sleeping, this is for you. At least they’re holding it on a Tuesday. Now that Jericho's season is over, there’s nothing on TV.

Public Encouraged to Attend Informational Meeting on MD 4 Interchange Project in Prince George's County

 WHO:
State Highway Administration (SHA) representatives
Businesses, community organizations and residents
Prince George's County officials
Representatives of Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission (MNCPPC)

WHAT:
SHA will host an open house to inform the public of the proposed plans for the MD 4 (Pennsylvania Avenue) interchange at Suitland Parkway. At the meeting, SHA will have project displays, approximate project schedules, and potential traffic implications during construction. SHA representatives will be available to answer any questions or concerns. There will be no formal presentation; attendees may walk through at their own pace.

WHEN and WHERE:
Tuesday, April 22, 2008 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Forestville Military Academy - Cafetorium
7001 Beltz Drive, Forestville, MD 20747

WHY:
The MD 4 corridor carries thousands of motorists each day and is also experiencing growth and development. This project is scheduled for advertisement later this year. SHA is planning to improve the interchange of MD 4 at Suitland Parkway beginning spring 2009.
