Breaking news today -- three Americans are expected to be charged in federal court for traveling to have sex with children.

These three will be the first prosecutions under a new initiative, "Operation Twisted Traveler." The initiative is an international program that targets Americans who travel to Cambodia to exploit children for sex. Cambodia is one of the top destinations for child predators.

The initiative and arrests reflect the work of U.S. and Cambodian authorities, as well as nongovernmental nonprofits.

The suspects, Ronald Boyajian, 49, Erik Peeters, 41, and Jack Sporich, 75, were arrested by Cambodian authorities, and are scheduled to appear in court this afternoon (9/1). All three men are registered sex offenders.

Bravo! We look forward to reading more stories like this one as these predators are arrested and charged.
