Woman faces jail-time for assaulting sex-offender

Well you've got to give Tammy Lee Gibson, 40, a little credit. The Pallyup, Washington resident is one tough nut and should do fine during her pending 3 to 8 month jail sentence. Last June, Gibson paid a visit to William Baldwin, 24, a 7 foot 3 inch tall registered sex offender and walloped him with a baseball bat.

Gibson says she remembered seeing Baldwin speak to her 10-year-old daughter a year earlier and went to his home, threatening to kill him. She then hit him several times with an aluminum bat.

One could call this a preemptive strike. If Baldwin was even thinking about touching Gibson's daughter, he'll definitely reconsider the attack now. 

The police report quotes her as saying. "I kept swingin' and swingin', and swingin'."

And to the justice system's credit Gibson isn't getting off scott free for assaulting a man who's already paying for his crime. Baldwin was previously convicted of two counts of first-degree child molestation for sexually assaulting two young girls when he was a teenager.
