Real Housewives Bethenny Frankel and Kelly Killoren Bensimon of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New York City." CREDIT: BRAVO | NBC | UNIVERSAL. Michaele and Tareq Salahi, also known as the White House party crashers in the "Housewivesgate" debacle, are apparently holding out for big bucks, before they will give us the story of their lives. The Real Housewives of DC wannabe cast members infamously crashed the White House State Dinner that President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama held to welcome India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur last Tuesday.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, television executives confirmed that the Larry King interview scheduled for last Friday had been postponed and that the Virginia couple were holding out for hundreds of thousands of dollars before giving the details of their enormous housewife-inspired faux pas!
Listen. We will not indulge you in this, Ms. Salahi. We won't put up with your antics. It's totally inappropriate. Words of housewives past (remember Kelly Bensimon to Bethenny Frankel in a Manhattan bar?) Who could forget it? Ramona dissing Simon at Jill's dinner party was NOTHING compared to this! I'd even go so far as to say this surpasses the "Naked Wasted" fiasco. What do you think? Wig pulling, table flipping? Housewife inappropriateness abounds. Forgetaboutit.
For the uninitiated, allow me to give you a taste of Real Housewives drama. This really is the norm, America. Sometimes they go over the top, but they mean well, and are basically harmless. Maybe Bravo's housewives need to come with a warning label. Let's pass that tip on to the White House.
The impetus for my blog, The Real Housewives are Nuts!.
