Kirstie Alley uses TV for weight loss as she sheds the pounds (again)

Actress Kirstie Alley has an off-again-on-again relationship - With her weight. But this time she's shaking the extra pounds in the public eye on the TV screen.
Reports released today saying the star would take the weight off in a new A&E series, set to slate in 2010.
The show is said to be orchestrated by American Idol producers and will also have the 58-year-old Cheers star vying on the love battlefield.
Multiple story lines are to surround the return-again weight loss of Alley alongside her life as a single mother of teens as a hard-working woman battling new love and weight loss.
"Kirstie is exactly the kind of star A&E is drawn to," People magazine quoted A&E's programming exec Robert Sharenow as saying.
Adding, "Her personal life has been playing out in the media for years, but this will be the first time she'll be opening up her home to reveal her real life for the cameras."
