A great local resource for getting children to read

Heidi Hernadez bookseller at the Towson Town Center Barnes and Noble is the parents resource for children’s books. If you have struggled trying to find the perfect book for your child, or wanted to get ideas on the best books to motivate your unmotivated reader then you must ask for Heidi. I met Heidi about 1 ½ years ago and soon learned that she takes her children book recommendations seriously. She usually is interested in knowing a little about the child of interest and within minutes she will recommend several books that she thinks will be a winning purchase for you. Heidi, a former teacher, has a special talent for understanding what will make little readers tic and tock. What is terrific about Heidi is that she has read many of the books that she recommends. She considers whether or not your child is athletic, likes science fiction or loves beautiful pictures.
She has introduced my son to the The Magic Treehouse and The Diary of A Wimpy Kid, just to name a few. Every single book she has recommended has been a winner. So go visit Heidi in the children’s section at the Towson Barnes and Noble. I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed. The Towson store is located at 1 E. Joppa Road #100 and the phone number is (410)296-7021.
