 Are you looking to get away without incurring a major expense with the family?  Consider taking a mini vacation at home and spend some time downtown.  Last weekend, my family spent the weekend at the Marriott Courtyard Harbor East(pool pictured above) located on 1000 Aliceanna. The children loved their indoor pool and I loved the Jacuzzi.  The location is convenient - just minutes away from the Whole Food Market, CVS, restaurants and loads of activities for the family to enjoy.  Best of all, the commute was just ten minutes from home and the children appreciate this the most.  No airport lines or traffic jams just a simple short drive to enjoy a different location.  The cost was $149.00 per night including a daily hot breakfast.  Additional discounts are available for AAA members.

Homewood Suites by Hilton on 625 South President Street.  This hotel is next to the new Harbor East Movie Cinema, Starbucks and Haagen Daz Ice Cream Parlor.  Suites are available with separate living, kitchen and bedroom suites for as low as $139.00 per night for a weekend stay.  This rate includes a daily hot breakfast, warm evening snack and access to the indoor pool.  Additional discounts are available for AAA members.
