My three-year-old  son Matthew has fought potty training every step of the way.

I decided this weekend to dedicate my attention to win the battle of the potty.  So, we took off all pull-ups and I reminded him around the clock to use the bathroom.  Everything was working like a charm until I put on an episode of Blues Clues and went upstairs to brush my teeth.  My oldest son and daughter sat with their brother as he watched his favorite show.

My daughter ran upstairs and exclaimed,"Mom we have an emergency downstairs!"  I quickly ran downstairs to see what might be going on.  I was not prepared for what I saw.  Shocked was more like it!

When I returned, my toddler had done #2.  He decided to hold it, smear it all over the basement carpet, TV and couch.  I felt like I was being punked.  This was too much reality for this mom.  I wanted to wave a white flag and surrender.  My three-year-old won!

The clean-up was all a blur...I survived, and more importantly Matthew (my son) is one step closer to wearing underwear.  Potty training often has these crazy true stories.  What are yours?

Live fully,

Mia
