Today, I have provided you with a list of Halloween safety videos.  It is important that we keep our children as safe as possible by minimizing some of the hidden dangers of Halloween.

 Vandalism Video

1.  Vandalism is one of the most common dangers on Halloween evening.  Children begin with a small prank of throwing an egg or two at a moving vehicle and can find themselves facing many additional ramifications from pranks gone wrong.  Take a look at this video about vandalism on Halloween.

Halloween Candy Video

2.  Halloween Candy.  We all have heard our parents tell stories about the dangers of eating candy on Halloween.  The goal is to teach children about Halloween candy safety and to encourage children not to eat any candy before an adult has had an opportunity to check all candy.

3.  Toddler Safety.  Halloween can be frightning for younger children because of all of the mask and spooky costumes.  Additionally, trick or treating can be overwhelming to the young child.  Take a look at this video as you prepare to take your toddler out for their first Trick or Treat.

4.  Costume Safety.  When our children select their costumes sometimes as parents  we don't consider costume safety in the selection process.  The attached video gives some great tips to consider when choosing a costume.

5.  Overall Safety.  Children trick or treat in the evenings when it is dark outside.  The attached video gives some good tips on how to make some costume adjustments using reflective tape or by  cutting larger holes into mask for better visability.

Lets make this the safest Halloween ever.

Live fully,

Mia
