The Cylburn Arboretum An Oasis in The City

June 24, 9:09 PM

The Cylburn Arboretum located at 4915 Greenspring Avenue is a beautiful oasis in the city.

Each week, my family visits this gorgeous park located on 207 acres with terrific woodland trails and spectacular gardens and trees.  It is the perfect place to visit to have some quality family time or to have a picinic lunch.  We love this place and I think you will also.

This is what we have discovered on the grounds while visiting:

1.  Two and a half miles of 7 Awesome Trails

2.  Cylburn's own beehive collection housing over 40,000 honeybees

3.  The Cylburn Mansion which is open to the public until 3:30 everyday.

4.  The Garden of The Senses

5.  Composting Demonstrations for home gardeners

6.  Rose Garden

7.  The Larravee Habitat Garden

8.  The List Goes On and On........(Formal, Shady, Oriental, Probst, Vegetable Gardens)

And

The Arboretum also provides:

A Nature Education facility at its Carriage House Natural History Museum.   This museum is only open on weekends.  Call in advance to get more information about the offerings at this museum (410)367-2217.

Garden Walks Tours

Glenda Weber, a Cylburn naturalist offers guided  garden walks on  the following dates: July 19th, August 16th and September 20th at 1:00 pm

Come for a visit.   I know that you are going to be surprised by this terrific gem in the city.

 Live fully,

Mia
