Mud is everywhere even when you can’t see it. Everything and I mean everything, can and will come apart if you really want it to. It doesn’t matter how many pet bugs have perished, there’s always hope for the next one. If a grown-up hasn’t gasped, then the tree hasn’t been climbed high enough. Forty-five plastic play tools don’t even come close to one real one out in the garage. Hugs are unacceptable in public, but unending when nobody is looking.
What we learn from little girls...
Never tick off the one that’s about to get snarls out of your hair. No matter how useless it may be, if it’s pretty and/or shiny, it must be saved. Play lipstick doesn’t work as well on stuffed animals as the kind you buy at the fancy store with all the perfume ladies. Glitter shoes are appropriate for ANY occasion and so are tiaras and/or fairy wings. Old stuffed animals have souls and feelings. The safest place in the world is wherever your parents are giving you a hug.
