Mile High Music Festival is just a few days away. With headliners such as Widespread Panic and The Fray, it would seem as this two day music extravaganza has little to offer all you indie rock hipsters out there. Yet, Mile High Music Festival will be showcasing some incredible indie talent that is worth the price of admission.

  1. The Black Keys: Playing on Saturday at 7pm, The Black Keys take blues-rock to an entirely different level. With six studio albums under their belt, this duo has a sound unlike any other and puts on a show that has changed lives.
  2. The Duke Spirit: Hailing from the other side of the pond (London), and performing on Saturday in the Westword Tent at 1:30pm, The Duke Spirit’s soulful, heavy brand of alternative rock is sure to start Mile High Music Fest off on the right foot.
  3. Dead Confederate: Combining grunge with southern rock, this band on the rise gives a performance that is unparalleled. Don’t miss Dead Confederate on Sunday at 1:30pm at the Westword Tent.
  4. Paper Bird: A taste of Americana folk music, this seven piece band is a hometown favorite here in Denver. Check out Paper Bird at the Rhapsody Tent on noon on Sunday.
  5. Gregory Alan Isakov: Another Denver folk musician, Gregory Alan Isakov will be one of the first bands to play this year’s festival at 11:15am Saturday in the Westword Tent.
