In a move understood by no one, management of the Dancing Crab in Tenleytown let go their best bartender today. This is just one of several obvious indicators the bar restaurant is on a down hill slide. Despite their motto of “Crab’s all year ‘round.” The restaurant is quite frequently with out any crabs at all. Management is sloppy and erratic. Even their website has the inaccurate times the restaurant is open, and two weeks after the Inauguration, is still trying to sell tickets to an Inaugural event.

The ‘Malt shop’, which is the unofficial name of the bar – once housed next door to where the restaurant current is used to be a hang out of local media. The bar backed up to the old channel nine, and was close to other media outlets – where folks would hang out before, during or after work.

The recent loss of a key staffer will no doubt take its toll on the once happy Happy Hour, as well as the bottom line of business for the restaurant.
