With less than 2 weeks to go, everyone is a twitter over the Inauguration. Some folks plan to attend, rain or shine, ticket or no – others hope to avoid the entire event, but others are hoping to make some cash.

Looking through on-line job postings there are lots of opportunities out there to work the week of Inauguration. There are vending opportunities for things like buttons, and programs that require employees to work long days, but promise to pay cash, there are openings for chauffeurs for the people that don’t mind gridlock, mysterious guerilla and buzz marketing jobs, even production assistant positions posted, although this one doesn’t pay. Officials want to warn folks looking to make money to watch out for jobs that require the worker to give money up front.

Today is the day the Inaugural Vending Zone lottery winners can begin picking up their permits from the Washington Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. There will be 700 vending sites along the parade route, along with another 1,000 vending site around the city.
