The Democratic National Committee released a new web ad today, entitled "GOP Whack-A-Mole" which highlights the frustration felt by the leaders -- at least in name -- of the Republican Party as the old, polarizing leaders of the party continue to dominate the public spotlight. Unable or unwilling to challenge these highly unpopular leaders of the GOP, like Dick Cheney, the ostensible new leaders of the party must feel like they're playing an endless game of Whack-A-Mole -- and losing. Each time the "new faces" of the GOP think they've put one of the old faces of the Party behind, their inability to produce any new ideas or offer any meaningful leadership, allows one of the "old faces" of the GOP to pop back up.
