MLB playoff rosters full of Arizona Fall League alums

The AFL season starts on Tuesday.
Nearly half of all of the players on this year’s Major League post-season rosters are Arizona Fall League alums. The Minnesota Twins had the most former AFL players on their playoff roster with 16. Of the eight playoff teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers had the fewest former AFLers in their dugouts with eight. In all, forty-nine percent (99) of all of the players participating in this year’s division series once wore Arizona Fall League uniforms. Included in these numbers are former league MVPs Jason Giambi, Ryan Howard, Dustin Pedroia, Albert Pujols and Jimmy Rollins.
The Arizona Fall League starts its 18th season on Tuesday.
