PlayStation 3 owners can rejoice about the latest news. The Netflix service will be available to the PlayStation 3, for people who already have a Netflix subscription that cost $8.99 or more. While Sony already offers movie and TV shows on the PS3 in the PlayStation store, the Netflix news will definitely make their fan base more happy.

Netflix currently has about 11 million customers in the United States and with 9 million PlayStation 3 consoles sold, their partnership with Sony stands to bring in a larger crowd.

The service will differ from Xbox Live, being that PS3 owners have to order a Blu-ray disc from Netflix that connects to the internet with BD-Live. This will allow you to stream that content from the service, but the release date for these discs, have not been announced. PS3 owners can sign up for an notification when the service is available here
