The third man's a charm. Jillian picks Ed

In a dramatic and bizarre ending to this season's The Bachelorette, Jillian Harris made her final pick, Microsoft-geek and Chicago native, Ed Swiderski.
Even though Ed and Jillian's love affair was filled with twists and turns (ie, Ed leaving to go back to work and the then lack of chemistry between the two during their overnight date), Jillian's heart belongs to the Jeffrey Dean Morgan look-alike.
Earlier in the show, Jillian took both Ed and now-rejected-Bachelor Kiptyn Locke, to meet her parents. Of course her families loved both men, although Jillian's father favored Ed.
Then the show takes viewers on a predictable path where both men buy rings, they talk about their "feelings" and we see them get ready for their big days. Kiptyn picked a gorgeous princess cut diamond for Jillian, Ed picked a lackluster pear-shaped diamond. Oh well.
As Jillian says her good-bye to Kiptyn, Reid Rosenthal makes a surprise appearance on the catwalk. He confesses his love for Jillian and asks her to marry him. Confused and shocked, Jillian seems to seriously contemplate the proposal, but later turns down the Realtor's request.
In the end everyone one is happy and teary-eyed. Of course the lovable Ed proposed to Jillian and the two kissed ad nauseum. They're engaged.
With Jillian's heart in knots, it's likely the love affair between the two probably won't last long. Reid may have gotten under her skin - viewers are prepared for another switcheroo a la Mesnick style.
Prediction for the next Bachelor: Reid Rosenthal.
