The C.Grimaldis Gallery is pleased to present GRIMALDIS @ AREA 405, an ex-hibition of large-scale sculpture by the C. Grimaldis Gallery’s artists showing in the alternative exhibition space - AREA 405. The exhibition opens Thursday, June 12th with a reception from 6:00 to 9:00pm as well as a reception for ARTSCAPE on Thursday, July 17th from 7:00 to 10:00pm.

Located in a 150 year-old artist-owned warehouse within Baltimore’s Station North Arts and Entertainment District, AREA 405 is committed to demonstrating and strengthening the vitality of the arts community within Baltimore. Consistent with the goals of the Arts District, AREA 405’s mission is to produce, present and promote arts and cultural programming by providing a venue for artists from Baltimore and the Mid-Atlantic region. With the Grimaldis Gallery’s long comittment and focus on sculpture, this collaborative exhibition with Area 405 gives the artists an opportunity to exhibit work outside of the gallery space and to exhibit works on a larger scale.  The primitive urban character of AREA 405 provides this alternative setting to the traditional “white-wall” space and given the inherent nature of the space, artists are challenged to re-consider the manner in which their work relates to this unique gallery environment.
