Joe Mirabella volunteers as the Washington State community organizer for Join the Impact, a national organization dedicated to achieving equality in all matters of civil law in all 50 states. Mirabella maintains several blogs, including The Mighty Pen at blog.joemirabella.com, and he was invited to be the curator for the LGBT group on Al Gore's Current.com. Mirabella is a featured blogger for Equality Across America, the organization planning the march in Washington on October 10th and 11th, as well as the two-year grass roots congressional district campaign that will follow. Joe received his BA in English from the University of Iowa, where he studied creative writing in the undergraduate writer's workshop. Joe lives with his fiance Joe Brokken in Seattle, Washington.
