This winter is absolutely freezing in most places. Here are a few items you should get to stay hot in this cold:
-
Plaid jackets. Coats, bomber jackets and/or hoodies. Plaid is back in style, and no winter wardrobe is complete without it. Check
wetseal.com for some great deals on hoodies and jackets.
-
Floral is back. Inspired by the bohemian look that’s been in for the last year or so, floral patterned dresses and skirts are in. Pair them over a pair of skinny jeans or leggings with some boots for a warm, cute flirty look. Like

- Leather or pleather high heeled boots. Knee high or ankle high you cannot go without a pair of these this winter. They seem plain, but there are different styles and some do have different patterns, so check it out.
-
Glitter! Glitter and sequins. Sequined shirts, shiny tights, sequined dresses. Check out Mariah Carey’s New Years dress, or this adorable Victoria’s Secret skirt
(here) Sequins are no longer tacky; instead many designers are using them in colors of gold, navy, silver and black to dress up the holidays.
- Baggy Sweaters a la the early 90’s grunge era. They are warm, comfy, and totally sexy. Check out Old Navy and pair one with a pair of shiny tights and sexy boots. ;-)

- The end of the “party like a rockstar” clothing era! As much as I hate to say this, but neon colors have gotten old an annoying. So say goodbye to bright pinks, blues and greens that have been dominated stores like Fred Flare, Wetseal, H&M and Forever 21 and say hello to hues such as olive greens and grays.
- Old fashioned cardigans of all patterns. Just like grandma used to make (or make you wear). Every store is stocking up on those pretty, v-neck button downs in all patterns from florals to lace to stripes to polka dots.
Oh, and remember, the best way to keep looking hot this winter is layers, layers, layers! So pile on all of your favorite clothing items because this year its totally in style!
