Are you free November 27th? Want to sip hot chocolate and enjoy an incredible tree lighting ceremony in Ghirardelli Square?

The 50-foot Christmas tree will be adorned with sparkling holiday lights and decorations. Red ribbons, ornaments, and such are expected, but look out for the giant Ghirardelli Chocolate bars added to the tree decorating delight. Every tree is better with chocolate. Enormous chocolate makes it enormously better.

The Ghirardelli Christmas carolers will serenade us and make sure we are toe tapping and humming our way to a cheery holiday spirit. Santa himself will even be there so the children can ask for presents on his lap, in a classic photo-op moment your family is sure to enjoy.

There will be puppet shows, a musical theatre performance, and stilt walkers beginning at noon. The tree lighting happens at 5:30, which leaves plenty of time for a few trips to the Ghirardelli cafe for some delectable hot chocolate and treats.

Come to Ghirardelli square on November 27 for an intro to the Christmas season your whole family will enjoy.
