On Sunday, November 29, 2009, Zoka's Restaurant and Bar is hosting a "Come see Santa!" party.  The event will feature Thai food--a welcome cuisine after a three-day binge on turkey dinner and its leftovers. As Zoka's web site states,

Join us at 12:00 noon on Sunday November 29th as Santa arrives on a fire truck, with sirens blaring.  Bring the entire family, including pets, and have your pictures taken.  The pictures are free, and if you wish to make a donation to Denver Children's Advocacy Center, they are greatly appreciated.

Located in Pine, Colorado, Zoka's is a favorite weekend lunch stop and watering hole for motorcycle enthusiasts, dog lovers and just folks from Denver, Colorado Springs and their environs.

The Route to Zoka's:  Highway 24 West for 32 miles to Woodland Park; turn right on CO-67 North toward Deckers for 24 miles; continue North on Highway 126, Deckers Road, which becomes Pine Valley Road, for 19 miles toward Pine and Zoka's.

The Pine area weather forecast for Sunday is calling for intermittent sun and clouds and a high temperature of 35 degrees, after an anticipated dusting of snow Saturday night.  At this time, it doesn't appear we'll be able to take the motorcycle to Zoka's, but weather in Colorado is more unpredictable than most places, so we'll keep our eyes on the skies.

If you have the time, stop by Zoka's this Sunday to see Santa and consider donating to a worthwhile charity while cajoling with what we've always found to be a great group of patrons.  The food and service are five-star.  The ride there, however, is a slice of heaven.  For a complete list of Zoka's services and upcoming events, click here.
