According to the Associated Press, The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a lawsuit today against the US Department of Health and Human services. They charge that HHS

…allowed the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to limit the services its subcontractors provide to female trafficking victims.

Further, the ACLU said that

…the bishops' conference is misusing taxpayer money and attempting to impose its religious beliefs on trafficking victims.

The ACLU claims that Catholic bishops are withholding grant monies and not allowing them to be used for things, like contraception, that go against their religious beliefs, thereby imposing their beliefs on those victims of human trafficking who they are supposed to be helping.
