While it's too early to release official, super accurate rankings, I am going to list MY top five teams for the 3A and 4A classifications. I’ll start in 3A with the #5 spot. Keep in mind that we're still in April, so what you see here will most likely change before the beginning of the season. This is just to get the juices flowing, so to speak.
#5
Glacier Peak
The Grizzlies are coming off an astounding first year, in which they went 5-5, reaching the playoffs and showing everyone that just because the entire team was comprised of underclassmen, didn’t mean that they couldn’t hang with the pack. It didn’t come easy, though. The Grizzlies started off the season slow, losing four of their first five games. Somebody must have flipped a switch after that, however, because G.P. roared back, winning the last four games of the season by an average score of 44.5 to 11 (178 to 44). Led by junior quarterback Zach Richter, Glacier Peak outscored their opponents 293-224 over the course of their inaugural season. They would eventually bow out at the hands of long-time powerhouse O’Dea in the playoffs, but if the Grizzlies taught us one thing, it was that we should never rule out the underdogs…even if they are just puppies.
