Ski deals abound for Jackson Hole, Wyo., resorts. (Photo: GGeter)
Our recent bout of snow here in the District has me craving for some winter weather activities. It’s been almost two years since I’ve been skiing. So when my friends over at National Geographic Traveler’s “Intelligent Travel” blog were talking about recession-buster sales going on at Jackson Hole, Wyo.-area ski resorts, it piqued my interest. For just a little more than a trip to Wisp or Whitetail, you can ski fresh Western powder in Wyoming. Lots of hotels and resorts are offering a fourth night free, and several are offering discounts on lift tickets or percentages off spa packages. But my favorite deal may be the $749 package that includes airfare from Washington, four nights at a hotel in Jackson, a three-day lift ticket at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, airport transfers, a ski shuttle, and, oh yeah, all the taxes and fees. The deal is only good through April 5 and must be booked over the phone.
